Product Description

What effect does the cryogenic treatment of liquid nitrogen have on the blade:

  1. It transforms the austenite with lower hardness into the martensite with harder, more stable, higher wear resistance and heat resistance;
  2. Through ultra-low temperature treatment, the lattice of the treated material has wider distribution of carbide particles with higher hardness and finer particle size;
  3. More uniform, finer, and denser micromaterial structure is produced in the metal grains;
  4. In the treated cemented carbide, a new combination of molecular structures is produced due to the reduction of its electronic kinetic energy;
  5. The internal thermal stress and mechanical stress of the material were greatly reduced after the ultra-low temperature treatment, which effectively reduced the possibility of causing cracks and edge breakage in tools and cutters.In addition, because the residual stress in the blade affects the ability of the cutting edge to absorb kinetic energy, the ultra-low temperature treated blade not only has higher abrasion resistance, but also its own residual stress is much less harmful than untreated tools;
  6. Due to the additional micro-carbide particles and the finer lattice, which leads to a denser molecular structure, the tiny voids in the material are greatly reduced;
